Bandung Barat, February 14, 2026 – Masjid Agung Lintang Ashta held a Papajar or Munggahan (communal meal) and gathering event to welcome and prepare for the arrival of the Holy Month of Ramadan 1447 Hijriah. The event took place in Kampung Ngamprah, Desa Sukatani, Kecamatan Ngamprah, Kabupaten Bandung Barat, and was attended by the extended mosque congregation and members of the surrounding community.

The Papajar/Munggahan event is a traditional Sundanese practice observed ahead of Ramadan as an expression of gratitude, a means of strengthening social bonds, and a spiritual preparation before undertaking the fasting month.
The gathering featured a series of religious and communal activities, including an opening prayer, collective sholawat (praises upon the Prophet), spiritual reflections (tausiyah), and a communal meal shared by all participants. The event served not merely as a cultural tradition but as a spiritually meaningful occasion aimed at purifying the heart and reinforcing unity within the community.

The event was led by the Head of Masjid Agung Lintang Ashta, H. drh. Muhammad Burhan, and was attended by the Chairman of the mosque’s DKM (Mosque Prosperity Council), Muhamad Aksan, community leaders, congregants, and local residents.
In his address, H. drh. Muhammad Burhan emphasized that Papajar/Munggahan carries profound spiritual significance beyond sharing a meal.
“We hope that through this gathering, our hearts and minds become purified so that we may remain steadfast (istiqomah) in performing our worship during the holy month of Ramadan. We also sincerely ask forgiveness, physically and spiritually, from all parties,” he stated.

The event was held on Saturday, February 14, 2026, as part of a series of activities leading up to the Holy Month of Ramadan 1447 H.
