Welcoming Ramadan with Real Action: H. Drh. Muhammad Burhan Repairs Roads and Bridge in Kampung Los

Ngamprah – Ahead of the holy month of Ramadan 2026, a local community service initiative focusing on road and bridge repairs was carried out in Kampung Los RT 02 RW 08, Sukatani Village, Ngamprah District, on Wednesday (February 18, 2026).
The activity was initiated by H. Drh. Muhammad Burhan, Head of Lintang Astha, as a form of concern for the deteriorating infrastructure, which had posed safety risks to residents.
In his opening remarks, he emphasized that the initiative was driven by a sense of social responsibility as a member of the community.
“As a concerned member of society, together with Lintang Astha, I took the initiative to repair the road and bridge in Blok Los, Ngamprah District,” he stated.
According to him, the condition of the road and bridge had significantly deteriorated. Although minor repairs had been conducted two to three times previously, they were not sufficient to provide a long-term solution.
“The road and bridge were severely damaged. Small repairs were carried out several times before, but they were not optimal,” he explained.
The repair work focused on concrete paving of damaged road sections and reinforcement of the Sukatani Blok Los bridge structure. After completing the main section, further repairs are planned for the lower road areas so that more residents can benefit.
Delayed Government Realization
H. Drh. Muhammad Burhan revealed that a formal request for road repairs had been submitted to the government in July last year, with information indicating that the project would be realized in March 2026. However, as Ramadan approaches, no visible progress had been made.
Considering the expected increase in community activities during Ramadan, he felt compelled to take immediate action to prevent potential accidents.
“We are doing this solely for the sake of Allah SWT, for the safety and well-being of the community. We do not want any unwanted incidents caused by the damaged infrastructure,” he stressed.
Supported by Employees and Local Residents
The repair work began in the morning and involved company employees along with local residents. The spirit of mutual cooperation was clearly visible throughout the process.
Several residents expressed their appreciation for the initiative.
“We are very grateful for this concern and assistance. This road is essential as it serves as the main access for residents,” said one local resident.
A Call for Greater Government Attention
On the same occasion, H. Drh. Muhammad Burhan called on government authorities at the village, district, and regency levels to be more responsive to infrastructure needs.
He emphasized that proper infrastructure not only supports mobility but also contributes significantly to public safety and quality of life.
