HIPMI Collaborates with BUMDes and KDMP to Boost Village Economic Independence Through Local Durian UMKM Bazaar

Bandung Barat, Tuesday (February 11, 2026) – The Indonesian Young Entrepreneurs Association (HIPMI) held a Local Wisdom Durian UMKM Bazaar at Bale Pare, Kota Baru Parahyangan, West Bandung Regency, marking a strategic collaboration with Village-Owned Enterprises (BUMDes) and KDMP to strengthen village economic institutions and promote sustainable economic independence.

The event brought together key stakeholders, including the Head of the Community and Village Empowerment Office (DPMD) of West Bandung Regency, Dudi Supriadi, S.Sos., village heads from across the region, government representatives, and business actors. The initiative reflects a shared commitment to building a stronger and more integrated village economy driven by local potential.

The activity was a Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) bazaar highlighting durian as a flagship commodity rooted in local wisdom. Beyond the bazaar, the program included socialization sessions and the initiation of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between HIPMI, BUMDes, and KDMP.
The MoU serves as the foundation for long-term economic collaboration aimed at strengthening village enterprises and creating a more structured and professional business ecosystem at the village level.

The event was organized by HIPMI, with BUMDes and KDMP acting as strategic partners.
Among those in attendance were:
Dudi Supriadi, S.Sos., Head of DPMD West Bandung Regency
Village heads from various districts
Government officials and invited guests
Rinaldi, representing HIPMI as the event coordinator
This multi-stakeholder involvement demonstrates a cross-sector commitment to accelerating village economic empowerment.

The event took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2026.
Where
The bazaar was held at Bale Pare, Kota Baru Parahyangan, West Bandung Regency, West Java — a strategic venue that enabled broader public participation and engagement.

The collaboration between HIPMI, BUMDes, and KDMP is considered essential in combining the strengths of young entrepreneurs with village-based economic institutions.
According to Dudi Supriadi, the partnership is a strategic step toward enhancing village independence.
“The collaboration between HIPMI, BUMDes, and KDMP is very important. Starting with an MoU and fulfilling the necessary requirements, the objective is highly positive — to integrate the strength of young entrepreneur organizations with village economic institutions,” he stated.
He further emphasized that cross-sector partnerships are expected to create a stronger and more integrated village economic system.

Moving forward, we hope that all villages can become more independent, driven by their own BUMDes,” he added.
Durian was selected as the icon of the event because it represents one of the region’s high-value local commodities. However, not all villages possess the same durian production capacity. Therefore, future cooperation will be tailored according to each village’s unique potential and characteristics.

According to Rinaldi, HIPMI’s representative and event coordinator, the program extended beyond a marketplace activity.
“Today’s event also includes socialization sessions for the attending village heads. Moving forward, HIPMI will conduct mentoring and training programs for BUMDes,” Rinaldi explained.

The planned mentorship and training aim to improve business management capacity within BUMDes and village cooperatives (Kopdes). By strengthening managerial competence and product development strategies, villages are expected to increase their locally generated revenue (PAD) and enhance competitiveness.
“Our hope is that villages can improve the management quality of Kopdes and BUMDes, both in business operations and product development. In doing so, villages can become more productive and make tangible contributions to their local revenue,” he added.

During the bazaar, visitors were offered a variety of durian types, with prices adjusted according to size and variety. Rinaldi assured that product quality was guaranteed.
“There are several types of durian available. Prices depend on size and variety. We ensure that the quality is excellent, so buyers can enjoy the authentic taste of our local wisdom,” he said.

Future Outlook
Through this collaboration, HIPMI is expected to become a strategic partner for villages in strengthening local economic capacity. The synergy between young entrepreneurs and village economic institutions is believed to foster a more professional, innovative, and sustainable business ecosystem.
With structured mentorship, capacity-building programs, and cross-sector partnerships, villages across West Bandung Regency are encouraged to optimize not only durian as a leading commodity but also other local superior products.

The HIPMI–BUMDes–KDMP collaboration represents a concrete step toward building resilient, competitive, and locally rooted village economies — paving the way for long-term, sustainable economic independence.
