Absorbing Public Aspirations, Hj. Pipih Supriati Holds DPRD KBB Recess Discussing Infrastructure and Encouraging Additional Legislative Seats
West Bandung, March 10, 2026 – A member of the Regional House of Representatives from DPRD Kabupaten Bandung Barat, Hj. Pipih Supriati, SE, held a Recess for Session Period II of the 2026 Legislative Year, which took place at her residence in Kabupaten Bandung Barat on Tuesday (10/3/2026).
The recess activity was attended by community leaders, neighborhood heads (RT and RW), and local residents. The enthusiasm of the community was evident from the presence of around 200 residents who took the opportunity to convey various aspirations and development proposals for their neighborhood.
On that occasion, Hj. Pipih Supriati emphasized that the recess is an important moment for legislators to directly absorb the aspirations of the community, so that various problems at the grassroots level can be brought into discussions on regional development programs and policies.
Infrastructure Becomes the Main Concern
During the dialogue session, most of the residents highlighted issues related to environmental infrastructure improvements and development. The community proposed several needs, including the repair of neighborhood roads, drainage systems, public facilities, and other community service infrastructures.
Residents expressed that adequate infrastructure is essential to support daily activities, including transportation access, economic activities, and overall comfort in their living environment.
Responding to these aspirations, Hj. Pipih stated her commitment to follow up on every proposal submitted by the community and to fight for them through discussions within the regional legislative body together with the local government.
“Every aspiration conveyed by the community today will be recorded and fought for. Infrastructure is a fundamental need for the community and must remain a priority,” said Hj. Pipih during the dialogue with residents.
Attention to Posyandu and MSME Development
In addition to infrastructure issues, residents also raised concerns regarding the strengthening of community health services through Posyandu (integrated health service posts). Posyandu cadres hope for additional support such as better facilities, medical equipment, and enhanced health programs for mothers and children.
Meanwhile, the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector also became an important topic in the discussion. Residents expect support in the form of business capital assistance, entrepreneurship training, and marketing support so that local MSME actors can grow and improve the community’s economy.
Hj. Pipih explained that both Posyandu and MSMEs are important pillars in community development.
“Posyandu serves as the frontline of community health services, especially for mothers and children. At the same time, MSMEs are key drivers of the local economy, so both sectors must continue to be supported and strengthened,” she explained.
Encouraging Additional Legislative Seats for Gerindra Party
During the event, Hj. Pipih also expressed her hope that in the future the number of legislative seats for Partai Gerindra in the West Bandung Regional House of Representatives will increase.
She hopes that in the next legislative period the Gerindra Party can secure up to 12 seats in the DPRD of West Bandung, enabling the party to better represent and realize the aspirations of the community.
“With more legislative seats for the Gerindra Party, we will have greater opportunities to fight for and realize the aspirations of the people,” she stated.
According to her, community support is essential so that representatives in the legislative body can work more effectively in advocating for development programs that directly address the needs of local residents.
Recess as a Platform for Dialogue and Community Participation
The recess activity, which took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere, served as an open platform for dialogue between residents and their representatives. Through this event, citizens were able to directly express the challenges they face, while the legislator could better understand the real conditions in the field.
It is hoped that through activities like this, communication between the community and their representatives will remain strong, ensuring that development in West Bandung can be more targeted and aligned with the real needs of the people.
The event concluded with an informal discussion session with residents and a shared commitment to continue strengthening communication for the progress and welfare of the community in West Bandung Regency.
