Official Handover Ceremony Marks New Leadership at Disdukcapil, Focus Set on Expanding Public Service Access
West Bandung — The leadership transition within the Department of Population and Civil Registration (Disdukcapil) of West Bandung Regency was formally carried out through an official handover ceremony held at the regional government complex on Thursday (April 30, 2026).
Yadi Azhar has now officially assumed the role of Head of Disdukcapil, succeeding Hendra Trismayadi, who concluded his tenure after years of service and contributions to strengthening civil administration systems in the region. Previously, Yadi served as a regional inspector, bringing extensive experience in governance and oversight.
In his remarks, Yadi emphasized that the transition represents not only a change in leadership but also a strategic opportunity to improve and modernize public services. He expressed his commitment to ensuring that administrative services become more accessible, efficient, and aligned with the needs of the community.
One of the key priorities under his leadership is the decentralization of services to sub-district levels. This initiative aims to reduce long queues at central offices and make it easier for residents to process essential documents without traveling long distances.
“Public services must be closer to the people. Our goal is to make administrative processes simpler, faster, and more accessible,” he stated.
Yadi also underlined the importance of transparency and accountability in delivering public services. He reaffirmed that all population administration services are provided free of charge, in accordance with government regulations, and encouraged the public to actively utilize these services.
The ceremony also served as a moment of appreciation for the outgoing head, whose leadership helped lay a solid foundation for service improvements, including advancements in digital systems and administrative efficiency.
Local officials and invited guests expressed optimism that the new leadership will continue existing programs while introducing innovative solutions to further enhance service delivery across West Java.
With this new chapter underway, Disdukcapil is expected to strengthen its role as a frontline public service institution, delivering inclusive, responsive, and community-oriented services for all residents of Bandung Barat.
